Vitamin B6 Pyridoxal-5 phosphate (P5P)

Vitamin B6 Pyridoxal-5 phosphate (P5P)

is the active form of vitamin B6. Supplementation with vitamin B6 in the form of P5P has the advantage that the vitamin no longer has to be converted by the body into its biologically active form, a process that is not equally efficient in everyone.
We only use Vitamin B6 P5P due to its high absorbability and therefore less risk of overdose (recently defined) in relation to tingling. Why not everyone uses The P5P form: it is 10 times more expensive than Vitamin B6 Pyridoxine.

Vitamin B6 P5P contributes to:

  • normal formation of red blood cells
  • normal cystine synthesis
  • a good energy supply in the muscles
  • normal energy metabolism
  • a normal homocysteine metabolism (A chronic excess of homocysteine is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease.)
  • the regulation of hormonal activity
  • helps the immune system
  • the build-up and breakdown of proteins and carbohydrates (sugars)
  • the functioning of memory
  • the mental resilience
  • brain and nerve functions involved in reasoning/reasoning
  • (brain and nerve functions involved in) concentration
  • extra energy in case of fatigue/fatigue
  • a proper functioning of the nervous system
